Almost 5 decades of dedication and combined service define This Old House. At THIS OLD HOUSE we stand for craftsmanship, beauty, authenticity and due diligence. We are fully insured & accredited, highly skilled, yet still learning!

Traditional approach - Our approach to business is as traditional as our approach to decorating. No task is too complicated or too onerous. Whatever needs to be done, will be done.

When decorating your home we are mindful that this is your home not our workplace. That's why we are the company of choice for projects where attention to detail is as important as is the quality of the finish.

Wide range of settings - The techniques we use are as relevant to contemporary designs as they are to Heritage work. Our works range from country homes to city apartments. Our clients call upon us to work in their homes, their offices and their hotels. Every environment is unique, as is every client.

Steve's Background is in fine Art and obtained a B.A Hons at St Martins School of Art in London, and has worked for English Heritage and the National Trust, The V&A, The British Museum, The B.B.C. and numerous Film & TV companies.

Philippa served her apprenticeship at Brunel College and within the family business under the tutelage of her father a well known Antique Restorer and Author of numerous wood finishing books and articles, while gaining her City & Guilds in Furniture crafts.

We both have a passion for Interiors, both Heritage & Contemporary and have worked extensively in these areas around the world.
